Mansa field is situated in eastern flank of Mehsana-Ahmedabad Tectonic block of North Cambay Basin. The first discovery well in the Mansa field is from Olpad formation which is located in the eastern basin margin setting and the well flowed oil on self from Olpad formation. The other producing formations in Mansa are Mandhali and Mehsana pays. This field lies towards east of Sobhasan field and stretches over an area of more than 50 sq km.
BVOEL was awarded with this field under the PEC – III agreement with ONGC. BVOEL has plans to improve the field oil and gas production by implementing various field and reservoir development activities. These might include 3D seismic evaluation and interpretation, drilling, well stimulation techniques, hydraulic fracturing.
